Solved it by extract without "j" option as suggested by Satoru, tar -xvf openSUSE_11.4_rc1_promo_material.tar.bz2 Thank you for the attachment. -- Best Regards, Masim "Vavai" Sugianto -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Hmm... I use GNOME but I couldn't get the last milestone to install,
and I heard the current image won't fit on a DVD.
If they fix that problem with the DVD I could try a dual boot install
I guess? Do you know why the VirtualBox installation failed?
cheers

Hello Helen, I downloaded the RC1 DVD and I burned it using K3B. It looked like the burning process was infinite, but then I decided to stop it after 15-20 minutes, which I though was a reasonable time. I don't know the reason behind that, but the DVD was OK, as I am emailing you from RC1 ;). What about LXDE, XFCE or Mebo anybody took anypictures with this? Anyway thought I would update you on how yesterdays market went - I converted two people to openSUSE, one of which was running on a HP Compaq Netbook - but I couldn't get the damn dvd to boot - his netbook was not identifying his external dvd drive - it had power but doesn't accepting data - I tried a seperate data cable but still without sucsess. Was generally much quieter than last week, but at least this week i covered my rent and petrol if not the replacement of the stock. Perhaps next time things might improove to the point where i can cover the stock costs also. -- Kind Regards Stuart Tanner Bolton Linux 24 Vincent Street Bolton BL1 4SA Tel: +44(0)1204 410474 Mob: +44(0)7868 028028 www.bolin.org.uk Distributing openSUSE in the UK Registered Linux User: 529825 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
