Thanks, Sascha. I curiously modified the template by increasing the icon size from 32px to 48px and put it on the ja site. http://ja.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/Full-New Compared with the original, I like 'a little larger icon' version more. Since we can't use emphasis for the section title (==Section Title==) with the template "Sablon:PointHere", the section titles in new template are humbler than ones in existent news. Satoru I like your bigger version, it looks good in my 12" laptop :-) regards, medwinz -- Zsa Zsa Gabor - "I'm a great housekeeper. I get divorced. Hi @all! I'd vote for: * bigger icons, as proposed by Satoru-san * every section gets an unique icon, as proposed by Александр ** we can look e.g. at http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Library for a set of matching icons * sections have the same place (structure) as in the full version Thoughts ? Just an idea - if we've the new full template ready, we should possibly sync the light and full version to make it easy to convert. Use case: simple switch between full and light if time requires/allows it. I prepared http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/Full-New-DL9PF The idea is: * Table of content available * Full / Light means here just to leave out the detailed text but keep the headlines. * The translation-tool should work here, too.
Best regards, Jan-Simon

You made a good job, Jan-Simon ! I like it very much. I think "which icons are suitable for each sections ?" remains an issue, but basically, Jan-Simon's template is great at the present moment. :-) Best, - -- _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/_/ Satoru Matsumoto - openSUSE Member - Japan _/_/ _/_/ Marketing & Weekly News Team _/_/ _/_/ mail: helios_reds@gmx.net / irc: HeliosReds _/_/ _/_/ http://blog.geeko.jp/author/heliosreds _/_/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAklsra8ACgkQXnHIfHE6+z2WOgCghV3Y/fRFKPuYM2F3mzL8sQVp +LEAoInyPMbXD6+nVK0CnvTZ4/CNQzmf =jo52 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/Full-New-DL9PF The Icons are very good. Another Proposal for the Newsletter. I mean that we can merge the "Past Meetings" and "Upcoming Meeting". It can be, that on the publish Date one or more Meetings from Upcoming are past.

The Icons are very good. The're not consistent from one icon-theme, yet. See answer on Matthias Fehring's mail.

We've our schedule and just have to set the right timeslot. I think ppl will get confuse when joining past/upcoming.

I prefer the Oxygen icons, because I use them widely across the german wiki. So, it would be nice if i could use them for the OWN, too. In my opinion the icons should be consistent in the language wiki and in the OWN, too. So I would appreciate it, if one could choose between Oxygen and Tango icon set. Both icon sets are nice, but for the german wiki the Oxygen icons are more consistent. Best greetings Buschmann On Tuesday 13 January 2009 15:39:42 Jan-Simon Möller wrote:

Could you propose oxygen-icons for all secions then ? We could simply switch between icon-sets through a naming-scheme for the uploaded files: OWN-oxygen-announcements.png OWN-tango-announcements.png | | | | | Section | theme OpenSUSE Weekly News Best regards, Jan-Simon
