We of the "Free Software User Group Italia" (Italy) We are preparing an event that will host over 400 high school students. As OpenSuse Ambassador, I would also promote OpenSuse trying to leave some 'material (CDs, stickers, brochures) including the students: there are? and if so, where? Who can I ask? For us it would be very important to have this material. Thank you bye Alex. -- #################################### Alexjan Carraturo admin of Free Software Users Group Italia http://www.fsugitalia.org #################################### -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
Hi, are you going to organize it or has it just a date and a place?
As OpenSuse Ambassador, I would also promote OpenSuse trying to leave some 'material (CDs, stickers, brochures) including the students: there are? and if so, where? Who can I ask?
If it isn't too much far from my city (Rome) and you need some help, i'm available! :-) -- Linux user number 433087 Linux registered machine number 351448 http://counter.li.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Just for sharing with the community, it is confirmed that (thanks to Alexjan) one of the Italian (Perugia) dates of the Software Freedom Day on September the 19th will host an openSUSE talk as well with the contribution of a couple of Ambassadors and other volunteers. Info will be put on the opensuse wiki pages for Ambassador Events and will be blogged around. The session will focus on the openSUSE distro (talking points) and will also mention about the 11.2 coming launch with the feature list. In supporting this, is there an updated feature list for the 11.2 that can be used in addition to the one on http://files.opensuse.org/opensuse/en/c/c2/OpenSUSE-11.2-Linuxtag-2009-EN.od... related to Milestone 3?
For us it would be very important to have this material.
Thank you bye
Alex.

Good morning all. I'm glad to share some feedbacks from the Software Freedom Day 2009 event held in Perugia, Italy, on last Saturday (http://lizards.opensuse.org/2009/09/10/software-freedom-day-italy-perugia/) All three Italian ambassadors have attended and made themselves available to curious people. Hundreds of Promo DVDs were distributed to the students. Students have addressed questions both technical and about the Ambassador programs (interested in promoting). Andrea Florio (anubisg1) has provided deep installation support to people that have brought their laptop to install openSUSE, and we all answered questions that students, teachers and also external attendees addressed. The talk was mostly to introduce openSUSE and all extra stuff to high school students: most of them were not even aware of open source, and that's why the talk was held at a generic information level with a few tech information for those more interested. Pictures and video were taken and will be soon published on both opensuse.org and external pages. In the meantime that a common place will be created to store 'used' presentations (as somebody else has requested already), the used presentation, both in English [1] and Italian [2], is available on my page at http://en.opensuse.org/User:Miumiento/Events We had anyway a nice day all together and did our best to make openSUSE a little bit more 'known', and the received feedbacks make us to think we succeeded (we hope). A special thanks to Alexjan that has organized the whole event (FSUG Italia Admin) and given us the opportunity to hold the openSUSE talk, and to Andrea that had a long train trip, with a few minutes of sleep!, to help the openSUSE talk (and not only) succeed! Feel free to address any questions for more info.
