[opensuse-marketing] [OWN] Voting on Layout enhancements
Hi, me again ;). We got an enhancement request from one of our readers to change the font away from italics to make reading the newsletter more fun. Let me explain the current situation in 2 sentences. We use (IIRC since the beginning) this scheme: Headings are bold, own content in normal font and "copied/linked" content is in italics. IMHO, the separation of own/linked content is important and should be visible _somehow_. Saturo was so kind to prepare some proposals [http://en.opensuse.org/Talk:OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/60#Announcements_-_current]. I'd appreciate to get some feedback from you on this topic - we will decide and adapt the template. Hi, I like the current way the best : easy to read, clear and professional looking. I think it shouldn't be changed. Best regards, JC _____________ SUSE Linux 2.6.29-rc6-git1 GNOME evolution 2.24.1.1 && Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7 Le mardi 24 mars 2009 à 22:00 +0100, Jan-Simon Möller a écrit :

Although we Japanese don't usually use italic style for citation, I can understand the policy and I myself don't mind if the contents are in italic style as they are now. But there's one thing I am anxious about. Well, let me see the issue 64 for example... Status Updates/Distribution/"GNOME status update": The body "Status updates, GNOME News" is not citation at all, but in italic style. The same can be said for other examples below. - Tips and Tricks/"Gabriel Stein: Documentation about Python" - All the articles of "openSUSE Forums" section The schema that Jan-Simon mentioned above is ignored in some cases, or I'd rather say, every articles for above-"On the Web" sections are automatically in italic style no matter when they are citation or not. If we have to distinguish between own and linked contents, this should be considered again.
