[opensuse-marketing] Sirko's recent work - my personal review...

Hi all, Recently Sirko has posted a snapshot of his on-going work regarding openSUSE. I know some of his plans which he told me, and I have to say, he's on the right track and has forseen a lot, so that cuts me the speech. For those who might have missed it, it's available here[1]. I would only ask that we start contemplating as well the community, so one poster for the community would actually be awesome. We should start advertising the community thus, start building a stronger basis for future loyalty from our users, and even promote maybe a kind of 'community icons' that can lead the vast masses out there. Regarding the current artwork, I love the Red... I believe that the visual metaphores available are pretty much accurate and well thinked off. I don't like the read logo on the top left poster, I hope it gets changed. I specially love the Education Poster and the Medicine one. Good job from Sirko. I also like the artwork, they are really wonderful! However, I'm sorry to say there is one aspect which was unrecognized: people with color blindness[1]. Especially the combination of red and green. I believe the second row with the red background and some green titles may be hard to read for those with red-green color blindness. Luckily I'm not affected by this, but I know people who have these problems. Maybe someone can confirm this. I'm not saying it should be changed, but maybe considered for future designs. that isnt the final result yet, so it can considered for this line. When u look to all motifes, the green ones havent such a color changing, thats because red looked ugly there. So thats a point more to turn the green on the red ones of also. I am still unhappy with the red geeko in the openFATE motif, so there is some work to do. for the rest that isnt the final result, so they cant be used easy as I read here. Some should look more to things instead write mails. Then they would recognize there isnt the right text on all. And the text is definitly not my task!!! br gnokii
Thanks, Tom
