[opensuse-marketing] Magazine Idea

Hi , The idea for the magazine was originally mine and Stella's, as mentioned by Gregory in the post above. The project was delayed significantly and was dropped for the time being as the community was gearing up for the 12.1 release. Hence, we were unable to get many contributions, which ultimately lead to the project being dropped till the release was done with. I have not given permission for this project to be taken over by any anyone else nor has the project been dropped entirely so far. We hope to continue with it as soon as the elections are over so that we can get a better response. Please calm down and let's start working together instead of bullying around. Keep in mind this is open source. Manu was not stealing any ideas, he even CC'ed you on that one. Additionally, for such a topic like a magazine no permissions are needed for *anybody* to work on it. It's great that you want to continue on this one and an earlier update would have been appreciated. But if you do it, please consider the messaging you use - both yours and Gregory's are inappropriate for the marketing team, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+owner@opensuse.org

There will be always some important events going on, like currently after release activities, or Google Code-in, then will come some opensource fair, and so on. Just keep working, not waiting, and don't forget to tell the rest of interested what you are doing, just as Manu did. In my humble, he is your best ally, as he is the only one that actually did something for your idea, not taking a bit of credit, even the opposite. CCing people that should be subscribed to the list is extraordinary effort to make sure they will be notified.
