[opensuse-marketing] Editing of Conference Videos
For all those that are willing to help out editing the videos, I think the easiest way to log which file they are editing and which file is completed in the AI[0]. So if you want to help out please add your details. Thanks, Andy 0 = https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=590804 -- Andrew Wafaa, openSUSE Member: FunkyPenguin. There are plenty of video editors and each have plenty of unique problems. Kdenlive looks like the most feature rich but for some reason fails to export in ogg (11.2 + packman running latest updates). SMILeS is my personal favorite but is too slow and never seem to finish. Anybody who wants to contribute is put off bcos of the experience with these tools. We had a small chat in the openSUSE marketing channel and we felt we will get more contributors for video conversion, if we have a guide to explain how to do conversion. So that not everyone need to play with numerous tools and get frustrated. So: I prepared a PDF that is a "10 step guide to prepare openSUSE videos". It is available at: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/317003/How-to-make-openSUSE-talk-videos.pdf Please see this in full-screen, so that the images are well rendered. Now download a video from http://community.opensuse.org/conference/ and help converting it. Please use https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=590804 for co-ordination so that not two members will work on the same video. We have plenty of videos but very less volunteers to get these converted. So We need all your contributions. So join us. Could you please add the tutorial to http://en.opensuse.org/Recording_openSUSE_Talks ?
