I read the page and totally agree with the concept. I will be able to join the session 12:00 - 16:00 (21:00 - 01:00 in our local time) Wednesday. In addition, I'd like to: - make a presentation for translating Weekly News (in the case of Japanese) - organize a workshop session 'Translating Special Edition - which, we plan to make on Wednesday - to Japanese' on #opensuse-ja channel in Japanese on Thursday 12:00 - 15:00 (UTC). I've tried making a time table and some contents for the Week. http://en.opensuse.org/Talk:OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Community_Week # The table in the page has a little complex structure though. :-( Although this page is just a sample and not yet completed, it's aiming to be a portal for interested persons and linked from http://en.opensuse.org/Community_Week#Schedule . @Coordinators & Translators If you will be able to have time to organize a workshop session 'Translating Special Edition to $YOUR_LANG', please add your schedule to the lower table on the page that I made. http://en.opensuse.org/Talk:OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Community_Week If you won't be able to have time for it, please fill the "Coordinator" column with your e-mail address at least, so that interested persons can contact you. @Sascha Sorry, I haven't add these ideas to the page that you prepared. I made a quick sweep of your presentation and have found it good enough for newbies. However, I think it will be much attractive if some screenshots are inserted. :-) <!-- Off Topic And, this is getting off the point, but there's one thing I am anxious about. It's not about the contents of the presentation, but the template of it. As you can see in page 2, there's a description that says '$DATE Novell, Inc.' Are you a person from Novell? Or, everyone who make presentations by using this template will be considered a Novell person? In addition, you can find a description in last page 'General Disclaimer', that says 'Further, Novell, Inc., reserves the right to revise this document and to make change to its content, at any time, without obligation to notify any person or entity of such revisions or changes.' IMHO, this 'General Disclaimer' fits for the documents that are the results of Novell persons *business*, but doesn't fit for the ones by volunteer contributers. If we make some presentations by using this template, Novell will be granted the right to those presentations automatically? That's weird. I hope this template will be improved to fit for the use by community members. Off Tpoic ends here. --> I myself am preparing presentation about translating OWN - by using my self-made template ;-) - and it will be done on this weekend.

@Sascha Would you please make an entry of OWN Team in Schedule/Topics on 'Community Week' page? http://en.opensuse.org/Community_Week @Coordinators & Translators I beg you once again. Please fill in the table[1], if you can organize the session for translating OWN into your language, and, even if you can't, I'd appreciate it if you fill the "Coordinator" column with your e-mail address at least, so that interested persons can contact you. I've made the presentation. http://files.opensuse.org/opensuse/en/5/5f/Community_Week_OWN_Translate.odp PDF: http://files.opensuse.org/opensuse/en/e/e1/Community_Week_OWN_Translate.pdf Since I used many fonts in the presentation, you might not see original OOo Impress file properly if you haven't installed the same fonts in your system. In that case, please see the PDF file. :-) Comments, suggestions and improvements are welcome. ;-) Best, - -- _/_/ Satoru Matsumoto - openSUSE Member - Japan _/_/ _/_/ Marketing/Weekly News/openFATE Screening Team _/_/ _/_/ mail: helios_reds_at_gmx.net / irc: HeliosReds _/_/ _/_/ http://blog.geeko.jp/author/heliosreds _/_/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkoFXgAACgkQXnHIfHE6+z1EZwCghkOsiXy83xa7pRD60H6HYlge zTkAn3+BRCLHowkGhFEplELNKdc4vLV5 =MtP0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
