Oh yes that git... I really have to learn work with it one of those days... I never really tried it but I just planned to do that tomorrow. (in an hour or so we have a mini translation hackfest, that’s why tomorrow...) I remember Helen explaining that to me but it seems that I need a how to for everything, The last months I learned so many things that many information just comes and goes in my head... It makes me feel a bit retarded :-s . Anyway beyond the 'Git thing of the devil' ;-) I think we should also upload them in the wiki so that it will be easy for anyone to find + http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Artwork has a few 'dead' links. What do you think?

Feel free to fight with the wiki :-) there's upload limit, and making upload one by one are just non efficient work for me at that time. For getting the git just refer to the wonderful how-to made by yaloki http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Marketing_and_Artwork_repository If you need also a write access, just ping me or yaloki with the account so I can add you. PS : to you & Helen, I didn't forget my task to provide a simple way to browse it. Just need a week more to try one or two promising solutions. -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Ambassador GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Awesome. I won't forget :)) Kostas: Yaloki made a really good 'step by step' on how to set it up, here: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Marketing_and_Artwork_repository if you have any trouble just ask Yaloki on IRC, if you can get him when he's not busy to talk you through it. I expect the other guys can help too. If I can do it, you can ! It's fantastic, once you have it, then all you have to do is open a shell and type 'git pull' and you have all the latest stuff right on your hard drive, which you can browse with Konqueror. I haven't played with the other git tools yet. cheers Helen -- IRC: helen_au helen.south@opensuse.org helensouth.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

or qgit which is just more recent (qt4 / kde4) kgit seems to be unmaintained from 2007. there's also gitk (made with tk) beloved by developers, but you are not one yet :-) On 03/14/2011 03:12 PM, Tony Su wrote:
