[opensuse-marketing] openSUSE Resources Page

Hmm.. we need to fix that. Suggestions? Sirko - can you whip up a generic launch party poster for the 11.2 launch? Do you want a basecamp login for art projects? for svg its possible to load it up as txt and whoever it want to use must download it and save as svg Javier said to me, I can upload it to my own space an post the link. Thats a way but not with my webspace please. We need a central webspace and a responsible person for uploading files there. In the wiki we can post than little previews. In the packages for download we pack an little howto and all files they are need fifth leg font e.g. Think the most cant then make here own from it and when not, I have no problem to doing this.

The list of allowed file extensions for upload is defined in the mediawiki config ($wgFileExtensions in LocalSettings.php). That's something the wiki admin has to change. Regards, Christian Boltz --

I meant place where we can upload file, so that other can download it, print it, or work on it and again upload, so that everyone can see changes. Then download, work on it and so on .... which is collaboration. With applications that are networked one can open file that is on server, make changes and save them back to the server. Communication can be done using Skype or IRC. The web application that can be used to collaborate seems too much work for nothing. We already have local applications that see web server just as another storage media. The only thing that is missing is a place where files can be stored. The wiki is not really meant for such activity. It can be used, but it is missing access control similar to what we have on our computers, that will allow users, groups, and anyone to access file, as needed, and the upload process can't be automated, ie. be transparent for the user. -- Regards, Rajko OpenSUSE Wiki Team: http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team People of openSUSE: http://en.opensuse.org/People_of_openSUSE/About -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
