Thanks very much for this it looks much better :) I really does demonstrate every aspect of how to choose how to want your openSUSE to look and feel :) I do wonder how within the openSUSE community the desktops stack up :) are there any statistics to say who uses which?

+1 for LXDE.  It's a fast moving project, having just been added in 11.3. IMO Xfce has lost its way, being now nearly the same memory footprint as Gnome.

This is by no means objectively measurable, but to me it just feels right to list three environments instead of two or four.

Here's what I'm suggesting: if there's reasonable proof that LXDE is more popular and more active than Xfce, I'll replace the mention of Xfce with LXDE. But I can't make everyone happy and keep the ad relatively easy to read at the same time. (If there's a majority that wants to see LXDE added, I'll change it of course.)

Reduction of support to KDE and GNOME was topic when only Novell guys maintained everything, but now when LXDE, Xfce, E17 have independent packagers whole support expense topic is off the table.
