Until now, I haven't read articles about it. Personally I think that we have to wait our board to tell us about the future. Everyone can blog or publish anything. If they're not Novell or SUSE employees or CEOs, they don't know about it. If they're just simple journalists, they can "get paid" and write anything. That's my opinion about this issue. I agree, it's very much 'wait and see' right now and I think any speculation would be most unhelpful. The article mentions the Attachmate statement "to calm down the openSUSE community" but I'm certainly not seeing any panic, just a bit of mild concern, and sharing of what little information we know. Of course there's big things at stake both for the distribution and for our colleagues who are employed by Novell, but at this point it's keep calm and carry on. Perhaps SUSE is going to fill an important gap in Attachmate's stable of products, and they recognize that in this era of crowdsourcing, social media and social conscience, FOSS is the way to go. We're all anxious about Microsoft getting its paws on more patents, too - how can it be legal for a company to own so much knowledge? best, Helen On Wed, Nov 24, 2010 at 7:19 AM, Stathis Iosifidis (aka diamond_gr) <diamond_gr@freemail.gr> wrote:
