[opensuse-marketing] Wiki advanced statistics
Hi there, is there any kind of advanced statistic page of the wiki? Something like this for example: http://stats.grok.se/it/201104/Italia visits per day/month/year, articles most visited by search engines ... etc. Thanks in advance, Bye hawake -- Linux user number 433087 Linux registered machine number 351448 http://counter.li.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
If stats aren't available directly, probably the next best thing is to use the Alexa tool which has been around forever... The following is the URL to configure Alexa for opensuse.org, if you then want to see something not directly searchable but within the specified domain you can see a link on the page for "Where Visitors Go in..." So, in the case of opensuse.org you can see the percentage of "visits" to various like forums, software, build, etc -- If it's not listed you can assume it's not enough to register... http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/opensuse.org# HTH, Tony On Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 2:20 PM, G G <hawake@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes, we are using a Piwik installation at beans.opensuse.org. Obviously this is not accessible for the public. Why are you interesting in it? Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, openSUSE. One question just that why in German even though not publicly accessible. On Mon, May 2, 2011 at 6:40 PM, Henne Vogelsang <hvogel@opensuse.org> wrote:

Thanks to All for answers! @Manu Gupta: that Statistics page is too much general, we are looking for advanced statistics per page for example, day by day, month by month ...

Since i'm the administrator of the Italian Wiki, i would like to know what (italian) guests are looking for in the Wiki, what are the most interesting/usefull articles and so on... in this way i can lead the other translators to important pages and after i can say "ok guys, this page is good/bad because the ranking of search engines and users visits are growing/decreasing since we made that modification ... etc etc" (just an example). Since Piwik's page is in german language, i have to suppose that is only for super-administrators of the site/domain? Or, are there localised versions? I have the statistics from Webmaster tools I can post it monthly if you all want to like I did earlier or send me a mail directly I will forward it to you asap. On Mon, May 2, 2011 at 7:27 PM, G G <hawake@gmail.com> wrote:

The statistics page is about distro users anyway, not about the wiki. The wiki has its own statistic pages and from the description of what you want it seems to be enough. There is one general statistics page http://it.opensuse.org/Speciale:Statistiche and one specifically about page visits. http://it.opensuse.org/Speciale:PaginePi%C3%B9Visitate You should be able to general numbers from them.

I see. So far we only have piwik enabled in the english wiki, not in language wikis. We are still evaluating piwik at the moment. Stay tuned. Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, openSUSE.
