[opensuse-marketing] Spread the word on the result of the first board election!
Hi. As you all surely noticed we published the election result yesterday. The newly formed board is the first one elected by the openSUSE community, which is an momentous step in the history of our project. I kindly ask you all for your support by submitting articles or short news stories to international or local websites and print magazines. Because I would like to have you to submit your own stories, I did not prepare a press release. Please write a few lines on your own. Good starting points may be: http://news.opensuse.org/2008/10/27/results-of-the-1st-opensuse-board-electi... http://en.opensuse.org/Board_Election/2008 http://en.opensuse.org/Board In case you submit something, please keep us posted (by sending a reply to this mail). In case your submission gets published, add it to the election's wiki page http://en.opensuse.org/Board_Election/2008#The_election_in_the_press Thank you for your support! Contacted Rikki Kite, she was gracious enough to drop everything and fix it immediately. Note -- this is totally doable via self-help, usually. If a site has an inaccuracy, feel free to contact them and ask them to correct it. The contact page (http://www.linux-magazine.com/contact) has the right info to get in touch. But since I know Rikki, I just went ahead and IMed to ask if it could be fixed. This is something that the marketing team could *really* be of major help in -- simply contacting any news outlet that has something incorrect in a story and *politely* asking that they make the change at the earliest convenience. Zonker. You rock! I know it was a time consuming process for Rikki considering the complexity and length of my name. :-) Now I can forward the article to my mommy and daddy with pride. -- Bryen Yunashko openSUSE Board Member -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
