[opensuse-marketing] Greetings from the 4th corner of the USA!
Hello All, I wanted to introduce myself, as I've recently signed up as an Ambassador for Bellingham, WA, USA ( http://maps.google.com/maps?q=bellingham,+wa&ie=UTF8&ll=42.423457,-96.943359... ). I work full-time as a web developer (mainly Ruby on Rails) and systems administrator for a local manufacturing facility. I run openSUSE 11.1 on my laptop; our CTO runs openSUSE 11.1 on his laptop; and we use SLES 10 SP2 and openSUSE 11.1 for servers, managing a network of 45 Windows desktops and 45 thin clients. I also do contract web development and sysadmin in my spare time (for spending money). I've successfully implemented a number of file servers based on SuSE Linux. I'm also a avid technology tinkerer, and run openSUSE 11.1 on my media center PC (it is sharing with WIndows XP), and openSUSE 10.3 in my car for telematics; both systems were hand-built to suit. I've presented at LinuxFest Northwest ( http://lfnw.org ) for 3 years running, and have volunteered to help out Zonker at the openSUSE booth for the last two. I run a low-volume blog where I discuss (openSUSE) Linux and web development: http://bear454.com . You can find me on Facebook: searching for bear454, I should be at the top of the list. I IM on GoogleTalk (bear454), AIM (OriginalBear454) and MSN (james@bear454.com). I look forward to hearing from you, and spreading the fun! - James Mason 'bear454' -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
