[opensuse-marketing] Temporary Tattoos
Hi all! When I was at LinuxTag this year I noticed that Fedora folks were giving free Fedora tattoos to people at their stand. I'm not sure how much does this fun cost, but we might want to have similar tattoo with Geeko at openSUSE conference. Slightly worn tattoo can be spotted here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davdunc/3547797738/ What do you think? :-) -- Best Regards / S pozdravom, Pavol RUSNAK SUSE LINUX, s.r.o openSUSE Community Multiplier Team Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xA6917144 19000 Praha 9, CR prusnak[at]suse.cz http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

We should add this to the marketing page under a suggested promotions area.
In the next year, I'd like the ambassadors and marketing team to take
a more active role in deciding what items to purchase and give away --
also with the caveat that what we buy (stickers, t-shirts, etc.) means
money we can't spend on other things (travel, sponsorships, DVDs,
etc.).
We should look at items like this:
* Who are we targeting? New users? Contributors?
* What's the purpose? Fun, brand awareness, education, etc.?
* What impact will it have?
* Is it worth the money we'd spend and the time it takes to produce?
Note that new items not only have a dollar cost but also a time cost
in getting new materials produced. On average, any new item probably
winds up taking between four and eight hours of meetings and other
time to get those produced (telling marcomm what we want, approving
designs, etc.)
Best,
Zonker

Hi, I think its good and bad... Its good because its one more brilliant way to promote openSUSE. But its also bad because we once again mimic fedora community. Anyway... can we find any service that can create those sticker-like temporary tattoos ? (if i got it right its those stickers you put on your skin and put water and the print stays as a tattoo) Regards, George <RageCryX> Koutsikos

I think these ones worked without the water, but I'm not 100% sure. You got your point there, we'd better have this kind of ideas first and they mimic us ;=) But as far as i'm concerned if the idea is cheap and useful why not recycle ? Fabrice On lundi 17 août 2009 15:49:46 RageCryX wrote:
