Hey guys,
just went to try to contribute (cautiously) to the release notes but I'm not too sure where to start, as I'm not clear on what is 'cut and paste' and what is fresh writing. For instance I googled the start of the Gnome Shell entry and see that it matches this - http://gnomejournal.org/article/85/easy-breezy-beautiful-gnome-shell
so I assume it needs a rewrite (or else attribution to Marina Zhurakhinskaya).
Usually if I'm cut and pasting into a document I find it useful to comment the text so that I know what is 'our own words' and what is reference text. I don't want to rewrite material that is already finished!
Is the Evolution text highlighted yellow for this reason?
Could you please pop in and highlight/comment any text that you've purely cut/pasted and needs a rewrite?
I am going through the document from top to bottom right now. Basically, whatever is done has proper headings (I use 1-2-3-4 from the headings functionality in Google Docs) and is normally written out. So it is quite easy to see where I am right now but to make it even more clear I will insert a red line. Any section that I have 'finished' but that still needs work (as in addition of apps) I will mark yellow. The whole text which is finished needs review for english language use so that is something you can do easily. Those still adding things: thanks! Everything which is below the RED line can still be added to; everything that is above it - mark additions YELLOW! @everyone who doesn't know where the feature guide is: HERE! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ApIe- wzRQDEyGtoq82BZ8aakAd3a7ZZObIZlj3p1tQk/edit?hl=en&authkey=CO7y4kU# Cheers and thanks, Jos
