[opensuse-marketing] Help as translator
Hello everyone, my name is Alexandre and I saw the request for translators and so I decided to send this email. I speak portuguese (from Europe) because I'm from Portugal. I'm only using openSuse for about 1 month (Gnome flavor) but been using Linux since about 4 years. If you need anything in Portuguese I don't mind helping. All the best Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Hi Alex, Welcome! Sure we need! Actually we are 2 translators for Potuguese (both from Brazil), but as the wiki is shared between pt and pt_BR I see no problem in apply the same behaviour in our weekly news. Hi Alexandre! My name is Jan-Simon and I'm coordinating the openSUSE Weekly newsletter. As Luiz already wrote, you're really welcome to join the Portuguese team. Please coordinate with Luis - he can also give you a first intro. Much information can be found on http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Team . Any questions are always welcome. Me or Sascha will answer. Best, Jan-Simon Am Dienstag 17 März 2009 18:15:47 schrieb Luiz Fernando Ranghetti:

Hi Alex, Currently in openSUSE there are 3 different translation areas that I know about. I guess that you are looking for: openSUSE Weekly News ----------------------- http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News You can read: http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Team Though, I would not add email address to that page. It is enough one here. Did you signed the Guiding Principles, as mentioned on the team page? If yes, then be patient, someone from the team will answer as soon as possible. Everyone is doing this in a free time, so it is not possible to hang on mail lists and answer right away. The other 2 are: openSUSE wiki translation ----------------------- http://en.opensuse.org/Translation As you can see Portuguese wiki is listed: http://pt.opensuse.org/Bem-vindo_ao_openSUSE.org and it seems realtively updated, but I'm sure that there is enough work for everybody. There is also translation of software that is included in openSUSE http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Localization_Guide -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
If you need anything in Portuguese I don't mind helping. That sounds good. Actual we have an Translator for Portugese. But our idea is to create an second Team of Translators. If one Translator haven't enough Time to Translation, so another have the Chance to

Hi Sascha! I've been talking with Alex earlier, and with he, our team has 3 persons (me, Alex and Gabriel) which helps if one could not translate one edition, etc...And with Alex we'll start the mixing with the two variants of portuguese (the 'original' and the brazilian) as we already do with the wiki, mailing list and IRC channel ;-) Regards, Luiz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
