[opensuse-marketing] Special meeting for N/C/S America and Asia
I am concerned that our Marketing Team meetings have been too timezone-centric and that we ended up leaving out North/Central/South America and Asia. And these are all important regions that we must continue to build success on. So, I would like to propose that we have a special meeting next week to fit your timezone a little better. This meeting will be in addition to our regularly scheduled Marketing Team meetings held every two weeks on Tuesdays at 15:00 UTC. For now, I am only proposing one meeting so we get to meet "face-to-face" in IRC. If there is popular support for it, then I will add meetings on a regular basis. Please tell me your preferred time by end of this week and I will announce the special timezone meeting by early next week. Thanks all! The point of this special meeting is to give those in other regions that are underserved by our 15:00 UTC meetings a chance to get together. Many are not able to attend 15:00 UTC meetings because it is late night or because it is during working hours for people in Western Hemisphere. They should be given an opportunity to be included, not excluded. My invitation to such a meeting still stands. Those who attend our regular meetings may attend if they wish or they may continue to do the work they are already working on.
