Taking after this idea. I have been told a couple of times about the difficulty of a change that using openSUSE entails for new users. A couple of people suggested to me, through my blog, about adding videos that could explain how key elements work in openSUSE. Software installation, menus, virtual desktops, etc. Maybe, the slideshow used in the installation could have a more "educational" purpose. It could explain these tasks through images and simple text as well as the other slides that promote important power user tools for people.

Sorry with 12 slides they are showed between 30s and a minute u can definitly not educate a user. For the video thing, u know we talk about the installer here! Show videos mean the installer would grow bigger, need more RAM and CPU and slow down the installation process. And that dont accept a lot of users After the installation I find sometimes such a nice geeko with a life saving ring, maybe u should klick it sometimes and find a cool edicational tour then ;) Maybe she can be better but remember unix philosophy one tool for a task. So the installer is for installing the system, it has a slideshow integrated but it has borders what we can do with that!
