The only problem I see is to do it with free tools. ¿Knows anyone software for Linux to do this?
I haven't tried it myself, but I hear that some people have had success with recordmydesktop, if you want to do screencast type recording.
If you want to edit video, I've heard good things about Kdenlive. Another possibility is Kino, though it doesn't seem to be packaged for openSUSE. I've used Kino a few versions ago - it isn't fancy, but it can get the job done if you're doing basic editing/production.
Actually it's packaged[1] for openSUSE <= 10.3 but not for openSUSE 11.0, yet.
After one hour of installing dependencies, compiling and resolving errors, I have installed on openSUSE 11 Cinelerra (It wasn’t packaged yet on 11). I will install today kdenlive and evaluate the two options to do the video. I have a screencast of the new GTK package manager (speed, easy use, etc). Have anyone one about KDE4 (with the new effects if it’s possible) or about Compiz? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
