They might, but the question of whether something is an "acceptable" use of the openSUSE marks according to the community is probably a question for the board first. Ideally, they'd filter the requests and only pass things to Novell legal once it was decided that the project wanted to grant use of the logo. Actually -- I think that's probably the only way to go, unless someone has an objection. (i.e., that's what I'm going to suggest.)
