IT seems a "#openSUSE SPAM Attack!" =D Another thing to be done is on the blogs, they can schedule the posts for the release date. Have spare time. The Facebook broadcast is also strong, Let's use it! On Wed, Nov 4, 2009 at 17:11, Joe 'Zonker' Brockmeier <jzb@zonker.net> wrote:
Hi all,
We're just over a week away from the official release of 11.2, Coolo willing. :-)
I'm not sure how many people that are active in the openSUSE community have accounts on Twitter and Identi.ca (or other social networks) but I'm sure it's well more than 200 all told. Everyone on this list should have an account on both services. :-) If you don't, please take a few minutes to create accounts, and follow (at least) the openSUSE account on Twitter/Identi.ca.
We can reach a lot of people, and even take a shot at putting openSUSE on the "trending topics," if we work together.
This next week, please be sure to Tweet/Dent at least once per day about the openSUSE 11.2 launch.
This means original posts as well as RT'ing the main @opensuse account. Please be sure to use the #openSUSE hash tag on Twitter!
Also, if you're new to Twitter, be sure to follow the contributors list -- either as a list or individually:
http://twitter.com/opensuse/contributors/members
(And if you're not on the list, but should be, feel free to send me a note.)
Also, don't overdo it. Once or twice per day is good. Every hour is bad, and will probably annoy your followers. :-)
Any questions?
Thanks!
