Guys,
I am going to the Southeast Linux Fest, I know we are low on DVD, but I need to get as many that can be spare. Great to hear - thank you for your support. I cc'd a guy who approached us to help out at our boot. Please get in contact with him. The Southeast Linux Fest, is the biggest Linuxfest in the south will be for three days, June 11-13.
Please send my request to
Chuck Payne 2962 Belfaire Crest Court Dacula, GA 30019 USA. I fear we're out of 11.2 one but we do have a fair number of 11.1. How many do you think is the appropriate amount 100, 500, 1,000 ?
Best Michael
I will be driving there.

Since this is going to be about three days, send 500, I will see what I can do on the 11.2, at the Texas Linux Fest, a lot people were really unhappy when I ran out of 11.2, I had to force them to take 11.1 DVD. The problem with the 11.1 is they are 32-bit and I am seeing that a lot of people want to do the 64-bit. If I were looking for a new job, I go out buy about 300 blanks and burn them myself. I am planning to burn about 50 open Li-F-e, that one seem to get a lot request when I am at these events.
Also, we will need more T-Shirts and other items. I wish you guys could send a couple of the box set so that we could give them out as prizes. It just a thought.
I am planning to bring two laptop with me so I can show off openSUSE and open Li-F-E. Friend as even given me a projector.
Anyway, please send me what you can. I have sent Y. Smith an e-mail. I don't remember seeing send an annoucement to the opensuse-marketing list that he wants to be an ambassador. So I didn't know he was there, seem we have a lot people putting their name on the page, but not sending e-mails to opensuse-marketing list.
Are we going to do a big batch of 11.3? I am only asking because I will be doing ALF as well, and I am open to go to others.

If you are going to be an Ambassador, just send an e-mail to the openSUSE Marketing <opensuse-marketing@opensuse.org>, you have done the first part and put your name on the Ambassador list. Gnokii, is right you don't have to be an Ambassador to help at the booth, but if you are serious about being an Ambassador, just send an e-mail to the list, announce that you want to be an Ambassador. Explain a little about yourself. Here is the link... ---------------------------- http://en.opensuse.org/Ambassadors And here are the steps. How do I join? It's easy. You will need the following: Set up an Account if you don't have one already. Complete your User Profile on users.opensuse.org and your user page on the english openSUSE Wiki. Please make sure to include your IRC nick and a way to get in touch via email and/or IM. Sign the Guiding Principles in the User Directory. Subscribe to the opensuse-marketing mailing list, if you're not already. Add yourself to the list of Ambassadors. Be sure to specify your region. Email the Ambassador Lead to let us know you're ready to start! (Optional) Introduce yourself on the opensuse-marketing list! Have questions? Ask on the opensuse-marketing mailing list, or in #opensuse-project on Freenode. ----------------- When I announced I explain I would travel Atlanta, North Georgia, and South Carolina. That I have used openSUSE back in the Days when it was since called S.u.S.E (5.3). Also if you haven't sign up as a User on the en.opensuse.org page. Put information on your user page of who you are that you are going to be ambassador. I am not trying to be picky, but it cool to let the other ambassador know who you are and that you are serious about being an ambassador. If you are just wanting to help, that cool. The more help the marry. If you have an IRC program, join us on Freenode in the opensuse-marketing channel. There is a lot of work to be done. Again more the marrier. -- ----------------------------------------- Discover it! Enjoy it!
