Hi!
From the cholly north comes another openSUSE enthusiast who wants to help spreading the love that is openSUSE. My name is Jeff and I live in Sweden. Here, Linux is gaining popularity, much due to the sucess of Ubuntu, but SUSE has a growing number of fans too. openSUSE-related activities and happenings are pretty non-existant, but I intend to change that. I hope I will be able to contribute something to the discussions and ideas of this list.

We should aim for launch parties from June 19 through July (no need to hold it exactly on the launch date.) I'm hosting an release party on the night of the 19th in Helsingborg, in Helsingborg (my place of residence). Something pretty informal, perhaps just grabbing a beer at a pub and showing of openSUSE or something like that. I am also thinking about organizing some more formal installparty later on in July, so inform all your Swedish friends. :-)
