I imagine that. It will be difficult to manage so many countries. I really wonder if we couldn't make an inernational (localized) dvd, at least for the 10 most common countries (or the 10 most targetted ones).
This is really a subject matter that should be discussed on the ambassador list with the ambassador team. Neither Jos, nor AJ, nor any of the budget deciders have a crystal ball to magically determine what is needed and where. We try to come up with a safe number but it is always a rough guesstimate at best. What ambassador team and its regional leaders need to do is start assessing a year in advance what are safe numbers and plans for distributing the media. What are realistic numbers? Who holds and distributes them? Who will help to translate localized translation of DVD cover artwork? etc. This can all be done, IF we get that organized better than we do now. I'm all for it and Manu and I talked a little bit about it the other day. And yes, with a well-organized planning of DVD needs that can be created locally and localized locally, we can actually increase the number of DVDs distributed globally. The increase in global presence that we are showing lately indicates we are definitely ready to make a more organized push for DVD distribution.
