[opensuse-m17n] Renaming font packages
Hi, recently Thomas Schraitle and I have been working on the renaming of font packages in a standard naming scheme. The discussion is found in FATE 313035. As the result, the Wiki page is created and we started converting a few packages. The detail is found in: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Fonts Now, we'd like to ask someone volunteering this work together with us. The job is relatively easy. You'll copy a package from M17N to M17N:fonts with a new package name, rename files, modify spec file for the renaming procedure appropriately. The detail is found in the page above. The font list is found in http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Fonts:Fontlist You can see many packages are still not converted yet. If anyone is interested, even anyone has any objection to this action, let me know. If you'd like to join, I can assign you to the maintainer of M17N:fonts project. Once when all conversions are done, the packages should be merged to FACTORY. Then we're going to remove the old packages from M17N project. I believe this is a better way than keeping the old packages forever. But if you have other opinion, please speak up. thanks, Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-m17n+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-m17n+owner@opensuse.org
Hi M17N:fonts maintainers, I am sorry for my late response. I have just submitted two new Japanese fonts packages to M17N:fonts. Could you add me to the maintainers list? I will keep updating these and other fonts packages as before. Fuminobu TAKEYAMA (2012/01/11 2:34), Takashi Iwai wrote:
