I tried with http://www.mandrakelinux.com/l10n/bn.php3 now. Result with "Mukti Narrow" with autohinter is here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/m17n/konqueror-mukti-narrow-hinting-true.png The top "matra" lines apparently line up well.
