[opensuse-m17n] Enabling Python 3 for IBus
Hi all, Now we have a SR to enable Python 3 for IBus. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/538639 Does anyone remember what was problem with that? As far as I know, Fedora now uses IBus with Python 3. Looking at the changelog, it was from Marguerite, but more than three years ago: Fri Sep 5 18:32:14 UTC 2014 - i@marguerite.su - properly disable python3 builds: * ibus itself isn't python3 ready, its python module is totally not usable under python3. - move some Obsoletes to the correct sub-package. Sat Aug 30 17:45:15 UTC 2014 - i@marguerite.su - Add patch: ibus-python3-migration.patch * I didn't do the hard "port", just simple 2to3 tasks. * it'll remove "blockage" or python3-ibus is totally unusable. Hi Ftake Some packages still need python-ibus, and python-ibus and python3-ibus can not be built together. So we should package python-ibus or python3- ibus solely. FWIW, we may have multiple spec files in a single repo instead of copying the whole. For build another spec, just create a linked package. It'll save space and sync the both updates. Takashi
