kinput2 + cjk-lyx problem on SuSE 9.2 pro
Hello, I bought Suse pro 9.2 Japanese edition and am trying to use cjk-lyx on it. But cjk-lyx does not recognize kinput2 . Shift-space is just recognized as a space, although kinput2 is running and the values of the environment variables seem correct: LANG=ja_JP.eucJP XMODIFIERS="@im=kinput2". I think the problem is proper to cjk-lyx on Suse 9.2 because (1) cjk-lyx+kinput2 on Suse 9.1(ftp version) worked fine. (2) kinput2+xemacs works fine even on Suse 9.2 . Any suggestion? Best Ko

I just tried and found that SCIM doesn't work either. Japanese input works in some widgets, for example in the line to enter a command at the bottom, but not in the main text window. This is most likely caused by the qt-immodule patch. Probably cjk-lyx doesn't use a widget based on QWidget for the main text window but uses its own widget. If that is the case, it is a similar problem to the one in KWord and KBabel, see also: http://lists.freedesktop.org/pipermail/immodule-qt/2004-September/000541.htm... http://lists.freedesktop.org/pipermail/scim/2004-October/001005.html There is also a SuSE bugzilla entry for that problem. http://bugzilla.suse.de/show_bug.cgi?id=16126 Until now I didn't know that cjk-lyx is also affected. I'll try to find out whether anything can be done. -- Mike FABIAN <mfabian@suse.de> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。
