Dear friends of CJK-internationalization, can somebody give me a hint, where I find the right rc.config-file under SUSE 9.1 personal, where I can put the START_CANNA="yes" line? In which place of the file should this line be inserted? Sincerely yours, Bernhard Rulla ------------------------------------------------------- -- **************** Dipl.-Ing. I hope that my answer is correct and I wish it will help you. I did use Yast (System / Runlevel editor) and then, it was a piece of cake to activate canna. If you need to see thoses files, you may consider (being root), under /etc/rc.d "grep -r -e "canna" *" (I didn't find START_CANNA) You'll meet a file named canna, you'll have also files under rc3.d (usual) and under rc5.d (X11) A file beginning with s will mean start while k stands for kill HTH -- christophe
I have just installed SUSE V 9.2 Professional on my laptop including all CJK stuff. Testing ist, I picked up the file UTF8-kochi.tex and started latex. But I failed with the following error message: .................... LaTeX Font Info: Try loading font information for C70+komi on input line 33. The Kochi fonts have been dropped in SuSE Linux 9.2 because they were not developed anymore. The successors of the Kochi fonts are the Sazanami fonts which are now included. You need to replace \CJKfamily{komi} with \CJKfamily{sami} etc. if you want to use the Sazanami fonts. See /usr/share/doc/packages/cjk-latex/README.SuSE for details. I didn't change the LaTeX font names "komi", "kogo", etc. to point to the Sazanami fonts because you can still use the old Kochi fonts if you want (You can install the Kochi fonts from an old SuSE Linux distribution, i.e. from the 9.1 FTP version). The Sazanami-fonts are a little bit different, therefore I thought it would not be a good idea to use the same name. -- Mike FABIAN <mfabian@suse.de> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。

These "START_*" variables are not used anymore in recent SuSE releases. Use the YasT2 runlevel editor or insserv instead (see "man insserv"). -- Mike FABIAN <mfabian@suse.de> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。
