[opensuse-m17n] Any clue about wqy-microhei-fonts contribution?
Does anyone have the idea how to contribute to wqy-microhei-fonts? I mean, not only the packaging, but also the upstream. I found the project have been "stopped" for nearly 6 years. Their website have no update for even longer time. But from the wiki history, until recently, there are still somebody keep contributing. The latest nightly build on official sourceforge repo is in 2009, see https://sourceforge.net/p/wqy/svn/HEAD/tree/. But the build on OBS is ther snapshot in 2015 (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=M17N:fonts&package=wqy-microhei-fonts), I don't know where is it come from, the spec file does not contain any information about the source. I could not find the latest source code of the font, and I could not find any howto about building the font yourself. Maybe there's a secret server keeping building them, and it looks like to be the same server as where their forum is hosted. You can write to Dr. FangQ to confirm this. His email is still valid. About how to contribute, everything is through their website. There're two short videos. BTW, the "activities" you see is the history of who created new characters through the web (User-contributed Content), not the activities of the owner and maintainers. Good to know. I suggest we add it into spec file (Source) so that other maintainers can easily help.
