      Hi,
  XIM support in tcl/tk is broken. We need to fix tcl/tk rather than 
scim :-(

Updating scim to 1.4* helped: I can enter characters. But using scim 
for entering something does not work. I can use the shortcut (e.g. 
Ctrl-Space) to activate a scim scheme, but all my keystrokes are 
ignored until I change back to "Keyboard".
