Peter I think you should have bought the Professional version. Would have spared you a lot of downloads and work. If you want to know what you have already installed for Japanese, check the following way As 'root' click on 'install and remove software' change the filter (left side of the screen from 'selections' to 'package groups') Check package group 'System/I18n/Japanese' There you will be able to find what you have already installed and what your personal edition can install.
