Hi, Fuminobu, The patch just add missing utf chars into kernel. It doesn't care about displaying. So you need to pick a Japanese bitmap font which displays good in tty. Here's mine: $ fc-match monospace wqy-microhei.ttc: "文泉驿等宽微米黑" "Regular" Yours might be IPA or something. As there's no pcf fonts for CJK, tty may just use your default monospace font.
