Did anyone succeed on getting Japanese to work on kde3.2, SuSE 9.0?
Yes, I did. I made the package of KDE 3.2's i18n for the Japanese user on the SUSE 9.0. There are the unofficial version. They are created from CVS(daily snapshot) of KDE(i18n). I think it's very good. Please try, if good. # It can be used also in versions other than SUSE 9.0. These i18n files (Japanese) are equipped with the conditions which are sufficient for being released formally. # Much files were updated by the translation team(Japanese) # after the release of KDE 3.2.0. Consequently, they fulfilled # the conditions of a release. Please check the following URL, if you are interested in the progress stats of a KDE translation team(Japanese). http://i18n.kde.org/stats/gui/KDE_3_2_BRANCH/ja/index.php http://i18n.kde.org/stats/gui/KDE_3_2_BRANCH/essential.php <(Packages are here)> ftp://ftp.kde.gr.jp/pub/jkug/stable/3.2/contrib/SUSE/ # Probably, it will be good to use the newest thing. # (Please sometimes check) P.S. It is deterministic that the formal release of the Japanese i18n file is carried out at KDE 3.2.1. ----- M. Takeyama
