we took the opportunity to meet up for the "Lightweight Desktop
Summit" [2].

Global Project: Responsible for calls for donations, call for speakers,
contact for project and decision contact for talks/rooms etc., decide
on
travel sponsorship with project contributors

* exo (source package): upstream contribution by LXDE developers

* preferred applications - agree on a common framework
* proposal to freedesktop.org: setting mechanism, uri x_scheme handler

Getting more contributors
Ideas
* How about pushing it with interns like KDE
- could any companies host interns?
- what could interns do
- do we need funding to pay some support to interns or could
companies do that?
* Google Summer of Code (Christian)
- who could be a mentor for the future
- how to choose students (Mario: prefers people who are known or
contributed before)
- how about people who help certain distros with LXDE?
