[Bug 1204949] New: (MicroOS) Missing "cups-pk-helper" package causes printer setting in Gnome Settings to have no unlock button
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1204949 Bug ID: 1204949 Summary: (MicroOS) Missing "cups-pk-helper" package causes printer setting in Gnome Settings to have no unlock button Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: MicroOS Assignee: kubic-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: scribble3299@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0 Build Identifier: I was trying to setup my printer on a new openSUSE MicroOS install through Gnome Settings but the "Unlock to Change Settings" banner in printer menu does not have the unlock button. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Gnome Settings 2.Go to Printer Debugging: 1.Open Gnome Settings 2.Go to Printer 3.Close Gnome Settings 4.Open terminal 5.Enter "gnome-control-center" Actual Results: I wasn't able to add printer as there's no way to unlock the setting. When using the terminal to launch Gnome Settings, it says "Your system does not have the cups-pk-helper's policy "org.opensuse.cupspkhelper.mechanism.all-edit" installed." Expected Results: There should be an unlock button to invoke password prompt and unlock the printer setting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I suggest that the package "cups-pk-helper" should be added to the packages that are installed by default during installation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
