[Bug 1196547] MicroOS Desktop GNOME system role doesn't preinstall language subpackages

IMO turning off recommends is a mistake. It is a necessary hack currently to avoid the system size from exploding but causes side effects like this. The proper fix would be to trim excessive use of recommends in packages to eliminate the need to turn off recommends in the first place. Need to be up for the long haul though.

Your opinion is noted But unless there is a significant increase in contributors to the MicroOS Desktop I can assure you that this is not a likely route any time soon, and options like basing the MicroOS Desktop on a non-openSUSE codebase (Arch? Ubuntu? Fedora?) might be more viable than the long haul you suggest. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
