Since Leap will use the SLES kernel, does that mean that it too will have disabled the Btrfs features considered unstable for SLES, or is that already the case ?

Leap won't use SLES kernel but its own 4.1.x kernel branch inherited from FACTORY kernel. If it works on the (previous) FACTORY, it should work on Leap. If not, it's not.

We occasionally talk about introducing the btrfs supported features capability into openSUSE but it hasn't happened yet.
