[opensuse-kernel] access to KOTD on ftp.suse.com
For 2 days now access to ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/HEAD is only possible using ftp protocol. Using http protocol doesn't work any more. Looks like the http server on that machine is down: telnet ftp.suse.com 80 Trying 195.135.221.132... telnet: connect to address 195.135.221.132: Connection refused -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Those from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/ don't work for you? -- "Suppos [sic] a nation in some distant region, should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . . Those from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/ don't work for you? I'am sure, they would. I'am just using ftp.suse.com for traditional reasons Is there any reason to change ? Unless SUSE decides to shutdown that machine.

I've always found throughput from ftp.suse.com to be no better than 1/3 of that typical from the download.opensuse.org mirrors. -- "Suppos [sic] a nation in some distant region, should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . .
