[opensuse-kernel] Bootsplash in 11.2
Hello! When I use manually compiled vanilla kernel there is no bootsplash at startup or shutdown time. I know 11.2 uses splashy which should require no additional kernel patching, only fb support (I have that), but when looking into stock kernel configuration I can see some additional entries like "bootsplash" with following description: --- This option enables the Linux bootsplash screen. For more information on the bootsplash screen have a look at http://www.bootsplash.org/. --- Is this it? If it is, are there somewhere patches available for more recent kernels, those on bootsplash.org seems unmaintained. Thanks! -- Kristjan Ugrin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Why don't you take the patches from the released kernel source rpm? Pete -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
