[opensuse-kernel] kernel-xen BUG in Factory with 3.17.4
Currently Xorg triggers a BUG with kernel-xen-3.17.4. The version 2d23787 from Factory is affected. Its appearently already fixed with 3.17.6 12b7bf1 from Kernel:stable. Is there already a new SR to fix that crash? Olaf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

I committed 3.18 to master yesterday, so stable should pick it up soon. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.19 (Darwin) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJUhx0HAAoJEB57S2MheeWy4q4P/AmNn09rJkbN9lD49sZ2xM0/ xN0xhbrqQ4zcXnVTW8kWb76jz+ZGRUcAn2iJgZ9XaKIVXjktos+CsCefO7khNrAr vMqegylcg8gmL25eBRUJLb+J3vxxeHMjGIPOZ5lr0lgp729tkbZ7bQoknqdC+ht3 i+dWgpfVR1bjPctWAi24y5WkOJl7BH3EUs7Wj+HZYjcnf0rZzxuU2WFxgfSc08HE RrTvlfbqDkpjh5iORDOPoBXpVa0HnWlmoykwhdN0+zbNQSf7wKB1NAPtItROd0EL fspOT0pxsFMwQHRpBaUVKEzWYjDZep4++Hd49wG7FIKy/Q5hG1NwC87dx4phRL68 BMO/saRzUuvY26XO+2z5N28IbTfMwUXHgHz9a9KiJcRZQ4QEi4Bmgw7RknL46DfN qqGIFhxdblQLHeEEOZJ1AcwvKl3N8SEbTXfjoetTbBqXdiWCNVCsqM+V6pwtUG4M NgaBEvKkEDE6i7DDcjpfprvEEDNlj9pd14/9bPeczrsuMlAhGtDHlL+/aqwX90Yk LVGo1JP60C5o0uIKJGhygF0D0HS4Q/6R5Cvf4Zvs0E+bwxpQs/h9DVFgy1zzyjoK 381KAwz75kd+o1km94DQ07i9HF6twWs9ghY9zldiE6ybL/R8TAD0tAP7Vp6UkQKl Tf+eAxINchSZ4NQ2bXR7 =26Xh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

I'm afraid that 3.x.0 won't be received well as a "stable" kernel in general. 3.17.6 was already submitted to FACTORY via SR#264502, BTW. Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

AFAIK, we're feeding Factory automatically from stable anyway. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.19 (Darwin) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJUhypxAAoJEB57S2MheeWyGEoQAKivofsxZNpI2L0yKP6AQgdi UktOUyyPBpv1035j4wElsEgdK0ji907n0eKgL2fDPwIOkOHqLI5MOxx8FeHLj4bj CRPyWR8Y0115pYIzewy8qeFI/QT/kAlwnjun2HH1mMCcWmKM76ACAlUT4iRF+S3s zKCwIFSlFq1oyiVzx21PGJTb+G936DMiCJk41rMNwHt+RfQI+0cqraMNNJ1QAK0C RyelrypfII/ievzFOgpLfJ6ZsQyC9OTmR7oMaCOpde/ETvyK7cLn4+6CQ6gGIXem 6xCXsmFK6oM8RUpGNOvTYh8qWIM1ZeCT6BdEwS3nIcVAYNP9B5m/rG75+3yny3or yVx3tGRsBZ+nxWGw2kCxPK1SF0TQkraMQZ91l14VRfJ0+Ev3LZOp3dHucHN/Xeos Ud0muRclobft4Yhtl4LV5f0Yq06+jtW3uPAgH1D3MUon0IyTuphSybb+cTPDoUue W+vO6+fb/QnUKsbECoz6GCjGpp5EQfXwrIjqrNj1Vd5pCW29qg9qzyJvj5O5eZm9 JX/gFYMbdV6O0lvtjko3Epi4O9N+1R2iCxTmgW+31DyImmVP05zfaSgo7E4TbQIG 6pBRfRUPt8VeiM7Fy7NLIzxzhfIHi4dFgULBQIjFJqT1LM3T5oAeKjXL3jf9OTFw 2aWYOXn8HV7rOQ1MYJJE =M+SU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

OK, let's cross fingers.

As Coolo was already concerned, the automated submission is bad. This should have been a submission done by the maintainer. Of course, it doesn't matter whether this was done by a script or not. But, the point is that the submission was the intention -- i.e. don't rely *only* on the automation. This makes me wonder also about the timing of submission. FACTORY offers monthly snapshots, and we've missed sometimes the fixes on snapshots even though they have been already applied to git tree. Maybe we should trigger finer submissions? Yet more regarding the submission: the situation about the released openSUSE versions is more worse -- we have *no* update of openSUSE 13.2 kernel yet at all. Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
