[opensuse-kernel] kabi change in openSUSE-11.4
Hi, opensuse-11.4 git branch got updated to 2.6.37.3, which has this commit http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-2.6.37.y.git;a=commit.... The change to struct address_space changes the checksum of pretty much every exported symbol. Is it worth working around this change or is it OK to change the kabi in the first kernel update of 11.4? Given that the most popular kmps are nvidia and ati binary drivers, Stefan, how difficult is to publish new versions of these? I would prefer that this does not happen :( Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

I would very much appreciate that, since I'm the one suffering the most (apart from our customers) from a kABI breakage. I'm still the one building and providing the RPMs to ATI/NVIDIA. :-( Thanks, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.)
