[opensuse-kernel] update 12.3 kernel
Is it planned to release 12.3 with the current 3.7.2 kernel? There is a regression in 3.7, ext4 now triggers the WRITE_SAME SCSI command, which is not handled on a hyper-v host. As a result the guest goes into an endless loop. A fix for that was commited last week, commit 133b379. Its a commit to kernel.git. The same change was sent to linux-scsi last week ("scsi: storvsc: avoid usage of WRITE_SAME"). Olaf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

No. It'll be at least updated to 3.7.5 before release.
No. It'll be at least updated to 3.7.5 before release. Since Christian Rodriguez and Jan Beulich both have pending fixes, I'll push another SR once those are in.
Just pushed my pieces to kernel.git. Jan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
