[opensuse-kernel] Update to 2.6.30-rcX
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi everyone - Just a quick heads up to avoid duplication of effort. I have 2.6.30-rc1 merged in a local tree, but it's pretty rough and fails to build in many cases. I'm going to wait until 2.6.30-rc2 to merge into master. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAknjqOsACgkQLPWxlyuTD7KtyQCfeLMxy2yXociH1Uj7V4kGCsMZ 3xMAn1IvywgoL4AtXnVHZEYJtzGSa5eG =5EiC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Yes, please wait until at least rc2. I am usually running rc1 on my desktop and for the 5 previous kernel versions or so it worked fine, but 2.6.30-rc1 had various failures and I had to give up on it. Apparently kernel 2.6.30 will be one with many changes and a long stabilization period. - -rc2 was released yesterday and I updated the git repository last night. Hannes - Can you take a look at patches.suse/rq-based-multipath when you get a chance? Particularly in the chunk that modifies dm_wq_work. This was reworked to support barriers and I'm not sure what the right way of integrating it is. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAknmAU0ACgkQLPWxlyuTD7IRrACfVtJn1xswcpOd7addSQG7MLdd OmEAnRMlpsrZLbrzmrDE/z7tWoz9arF0 =aXvx -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
