Is this it? If it is, are there somewhere patches available for more recent kernels, those on bootsplash.org seems unmaintained.
Why don't you take the patches from the released kernel source rpm?

It's all in kernel-source-*.src.rpm to avoid duplication. The other spec files have a NoSource: tag, I don't know why the packages are called *.src.rpm instead of *.nosrc.rpm, probably a bug.
