Do you want this to be applied? Could you provide a change log that states why the reasons for disabling ARM are fixed by this patch? Regards Oliver -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, of courses.

ARM was disabled because kernel was updated and kernel guys (Jeff and others) prefer that ARM people take care of ARM updates with new options when a new kernel is released. So, the reason is "update configs" as stated in the patch. I see. Does anybody object to me applying this patch? Regards Oliver -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

Exactly. The hardware-specific ARM configs make it difficult to determine which options should be enabled. To avoid conflicts, we ask that the ARM maintainers keep them updated. To avoid build failures, we disable the configs until the updates are performed. -Jeff -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs
