[opensuse-kernel] i915 fix for future 11.3 updates?
I've seen the following pull request, it contains a fix for Intel 915 chips that hang. I've heard many complains of hanging i915 in openSUSE 11.3. My question therefore is: Will this fix be available for the next 11.3 kernel update? http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.dri.devel/48089 Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

I backported the fixes to kernel GIT tree openSUSE-11.3 branch now. Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Can we also get a backport of https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15585#c5 which fixes a long-standing memory corruption bug (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13811) ? -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

This was already fixed in kernel GIT tree. Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
