[opensuse-kernel] [Kernel:HEAD] Package kernel-ec2 is missing
Hi, If you try installing package kernel-syms from Kernel:HEAD (or building against it) you receive an error message that package kernel-ec2-devel is missing. Please add package kernel-ec2 to the project or remove dependency from kernel-syms's spec file. spec file for kernel-ec2 has been already provided. This has been happened since days - so I think limitation period of 24 hours is kept... Thanks. I added kernel-ec2 to Kernel:HEAD, it should appear in the repository soon. However, I wonder if we really need to automatically build KMPs for the ec2 flavor. Jan, could you estimate what percentage of our KMPs does make sense for ec2? If we remove kernel-ec2-devel from kernel-syms, we could save some rebuild time (there is always the possibility to explicitly require kernel-ec2-devel in KMPs that need it). Any driver KMP is definitely not needed for -ec2; any file system one would be needed. For anything else I'd need to know where a complete list (including description of what functionality they provide) lives. Thanks for the info. This is the list of KMPs that are in Factory/i586: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/i586/?P=%2A-kmp-default-%... Most of them are device drivers, *maybe* compcache, dazuko or drbd could sense in ec2, but it's not worth building all KMPs for ec2 by default. I assume you did adjust or are going to adjust things that way then. Jan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
